Young Henry Forster has the cricketing talent to follow in the footsteps of his uncle, England captain Andrew Strauss, judging by his outstanding feat for the Junior King’s School Canterbury under-11 team.
Team captain Henry, pictured, took six wickets in one over during a match against St Edmund’s School.
Chasing a total of 117, St Edmund’s had reached 29-4 when 11-year-old Henry came on to bowl his second over.
The first ball was struck hard towards extra cover where it was caught by Jack Mills, the second clean bowled the new batsman and the third ball was edged to wicketkeeper Charlie Watson.
Balls four and five speared in towards the base of the stumps and sent them flying and the sixth ball, to the No.11 batsman, was again a well directed yorker and hit the batsman’s boot, and he was given out leg before.
Mr Peter Wells, head of Junior King’s said: "This is a remarkable sporting achievement and one that none of us has ever seen before. We are delighted for Henry, and it shows what great skill and potential he has.
"Junior King’s has a long tradition of producing talented sportsmen and women. Some have gone on to represent their country in a wide range of sports. Maybe Henry will follow in their footsteps."
