England cricket star Sam Billings has offered to go shopping for those stuck at home during the coronavirus outbreak.
The Kent captain tweeted to offer his services to those isolating as the virus spreads.
In a tweet to his 194,000 followers, he said: "Anyone in the Canterbury area who knows of someone, or they themselves needs their shopping done for them just shout."
He added he would privately message anyone who replied needing assistance.
The offer went down well with fans of the wicketkeeper-batsmen, who has played 212 times for Kent and 41 international matches.
Dan Pilbeam wrote: "Don’t need any shopping Sam Billings, but I thought I’d just say this is a class gesture and I’m proud you're my county's captain!"
Jamie Strachan added: "Class act Sam. I'm in Wakefield and don't need any assistance (bit far anyway!) I'm sure some local residents will be very grateful."
The sportsman's gesture arrives amid growing concern for those forced to stay at home during the outbreak, with others across Kent coming to the aid of those in need.
It is expected more people will isolate themselves at home following today's advice from Prime Minister Boris Johnson to avoid pubs, clubs and unnecessary social contact.
