Fast spreading grass fire

STRONG winds caused a grass fire at the Old Park Barracks, Canterbury, to spread rapidly this afternoon.

At one point 16 fire engines and crews from across east Kent were fighting the fire, said a Kent Fire and Rescue Service official.
