STEWART FAGG: described as a popular young man who loved animals

THE funeral is to be held at Barham Crematorium next Wednesday of a 20-year-old man who died following a car accident.

Electrician Stewart Fagg, from Sturry, near Canterbury was driving a Ford Escort on the A253 at Monkton last weekend when his vehicle collided with an on-coming Renault Megane and overturned.

Mr Fagg was taken to the QEQM Hospital at Margate in a critical condition but died from his injuries the following day. The funeral will be at 11am.

Nr Fagg was a former pupil of the Chaucer Technology School and Canterbury College and had recently qualified as an electrician. He had started work for a firm in Broadstairs.

Previously he had a weekend job at Homebase in Wincheap, Canterbury.

Mr Fagg is said to have been a popular young man who enjoyed keeping fit and loved animals, including his two cats.

He lived with his family in Island Road, Sturry. His father, Terence, said: “We want Stewart to be remembered as an energetic person with lots of friends.

“He was a hard worker with a practical mind and will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.”
