Video: "Hairy Knorm" speaks about his party's policies.
Faversham and Mid Kent Monster Raving Loony candidate “Hairy Knorm” Norman Davidson held an open surgery at The Elephant in Faversham on Sunday.
Norman, a log merchant from Lenham, was joined by party supporters at The Mall pub to talk about his manifesto and show support to a traditional British pub.
He said: “All the other parties are doing their usual thing during this campaign and robbing ideas off each other, but we’re telling you what you want to hear.
“In the States voters have a 'none of the above’ option on their ballot papers, so a vote for us is a vote for 'none of the above.’ It’s a sensible protest vote, as we’ll tell it as it is.”
Locally, Norman hopes to lobby to restore more pride in Faversham.
He added: “I walked around the town on Saturday during market day and the place was almost empty at midday. Faversham is a great place with some real historic qualities, but it needs better promotion.”
The party’s policies include introducing rock music lessons into all schools, eventually leading to university degrees, making darts and other minority sports Olympic events and keeping imperial measurements.
