Faversham Town boss Ray Turner says he expects further raids from Whitstable Town for his players as he battles to keep hold of his squad.
Former Lilywhites boss Justin Luchford, now in charge at Whitstable, has already signed Lee Shearer and Damian Abel and Turner is prepared for several more seven-day approaches.
Turner (pictured) said: "You can’t get too frustrated about these things, it’s part and parcel of the game and it’s important that my focus is on my job at Faversham.
"It’s their (Whitstable’s) business what they do and how they look to improve their side and it was always going to be the case because he (Luchford) knows the players well, so I was always expecting it."
Whether Turner will get the chance to add to his squad is another matter.
Just 65 saw Faversham beat Walton Casuals 1-0 on Tuesday night courtesy of Danny Hockton’s goal and with the club struggling to attract gates of more than 150 this season, it’s likely to continue having a knock-on effect on Turner’s playing budget.
He said: "It’s difficult because we are trying to do the best we can for the club but if we can’t get them through the turnstiles, it is going to have an impact on the finances at the club."
Town, who were beaten 3-0 at home by Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday, are at Chipstead this weekend before playing the same opponents at Salters Lane on Tuesday.
