Faversham Town face two derby games in four days as they bid to extend their five-game unbeaten run in Ryman League, Division 1 South.
Saturday’s trip to Ramsgate is followed by the visit of league leaders Maidstone United to Salters Lane on Tuesday and Lilywhites boss Ray Turner (pictured) says he is relishing the challenge.
He said: "When the fixtures came out, they weren’t overly favourable and we had to wait a long time for a Kent derby at home. I’m sure Maidstone will bring a few supporters and I hope we put on a performance.
"We’re not going to take a backward step. I’m always really positive. I don’t set my teams up to get a point, we’ve got enough attacking players to cause problems for any team in this league.
"We’ve been all right away from home. We’ve been changing systems because I want the team to be quite adaptable. It’s going to be a tough game (at Ramsgate) and we’re going to have to be physically and mentally strong and be prepared to be under pressure."
Dale Skelton’s return to the squad means Turner has a full compliment of players to pick from at Southwood. The game against Maidstone could see Stone and Hockton facing their former club.
