Faversham Town boss Ray Turner wants his side to make light of their tough start to the Ryman League, Division 1 South season and put some early points on the board.
In their second season in the division, Town host Worthing on Saturday before a visit to old adversaries Hythe Town – newly promoted from the Kent League – on Tuesday.
Turner (pictured) said: "I’m under no illusions. We’ve got a tough start, our first four games are difficult.
"If you get a result you have something to build on and the confidence grows but, of course, if you were to lose, the opposite can happen and you can get into a bad run. It is a strong league this year and getting a good start is important."
Turner faces a selection headache with injury concerns in key areas.
He said: "Our biggest concern is the goalkeeper and the defence.
Rob French is a doubt, Ashley Brown is no more than 50/50 and Matt Bourne is maybe 70/30 to play."
Dave Bathgate has left the Lilywhites to rejoin former club Deal. Turner said: "We thank Dave for all he’s done for the club."
