Ray Turner says he is not getting carried away with Faversham Town’s impressive form, despite a four-game unbeaten run which has moved them into the upper echelons of the Ryman League, Division 1 South table.
Off the back of some fine cup performances, Town have taken eight points from 12 in the league, battering title-chasing Crawley Down in a 1-1 draw before overcoming in-form Whitstable 3-2 and then coming from behind to beat Horsham 3-1 on Saturday.
Wednesday night's 2-2 draw at Folkestone moved Town into the top seven and just four points off leaders Invicta ahead of Saturday’s trip to Burgess Hill Town.
Lilywhites boss Turner (pictured) said: "The spirit is fantastic – the last couple of weeks have galvanised the squad.
"We can’t wait for the next game to arrive. We’re not getting carried away, though. We’re in good shape but it was only a few weeks back that we were sat in the bottom three.
He added: "I’m not looking at the table too much yet, it’s too early to look at things like that but we want to keep the momentum going and keep winning. I’m delighted with how things are going."
