Faversham Town boss Ray Turner says the cup games of the past few weeks have been "good times" but doesn’t want his side to get cast adrift in the league table.
The Lilywhites have played four straight Cup games in three different competitions, eventually going down to Margate in an FA Cup replay before seeing off Sudbury in the FA Trophy on Saturday and then pushing Dartford all the way before losing 2-1 at Princes Park in the Kent Senior Cup on Tuesday night.
Town are back in Ryman League, Division 1 South action with the visit of high-flying leaders Crawley Down Gatwick to the Shepherd Neame Stadium on Saturday.
Turner admitted: "It’s a strange period. For four games in a row we have been concentrating on cup games and then, after this one big league game, we’re back to concentrating on the next round of the Trophy – home against Leatherhead – again.
"It’s just one big game after another. The last couple of weeks have been good times for the club. There’s been a good feeling around the place."
Town sit 19th in the fledgling table but with some teams having already played two games more than them, Turner is keen to get points on the board as soon as possible.
He said: "With all these cup games you can put the league to bed to some degree but it’s important not to slip too far behind in the table.
"I want to get something on the board this weekend, whether it is a point or three.
"You don’t want to come back to the league in a couple of weeks and find teams have overtaken you and all of a sudden you are under pressure down at the bottom."
