Local actors who took part in the filming of Wild Child, predicted to be this summer’s next big blockbuster, are being invited to a special showing of the film at the Odeon Cinema in Canterbury.
Hailed by Sugar magazine as the teen movie of the decade, Wild Child tells the story of a spoilt Malibu princess who is sent to a strict English boarding school to straighten out.
The film stars Emma Roberts (niece of actress Julia) as Poppy the wild child of the title, Natasha Richardson, Shirley Henderson, Aidan Quinn and Alex Pettyfe.
Kent University student Behdad Zare took part as one of the lads from a neighbouring school, and will be seen during the school prom scene.
Karol Steele, from Dover, who plays the school’s religious education teacher, organised the Odeon showing which is on Friday, August 15.
“We all had such a wonderful time filming that we all promised that we would get back together to watch the movie when it came out,” she said.
If anyone would like to attend they should contact Mrs Steele on 01304 203015 or email kazandybensteele@ntlworld.com
