Canterbury Old Park outdoor grass fire

Firefighters have been using beaters and a hose reel jet to tackle a grass fire in Canterbury.

Crews were called to the Old Park area of the city at just before 8pm last night.

They used a hose reel jet together with the beaters to quell the blaze, and they were still damping down late into the night.
