Fire destroys outbuilding in Shottenden near Canterbury

A fire has destroyed an outbuilding in a village.

Firefighters were called to Goldups Lane, Shottenden, near Canterbury, to reports of a blazing outbuilding.

Three fire engines and a bulk water carrier responded to the incident last night at about 10.30pm.

Crews battled the flames to prevent it from spreading to a nearby residential property.

The fire is believed to have started due to an electrical fault.

There were no reported injuries.
