Fire fighters have been scrambled this afternoon to tackle a blaze on around seven acres of grass and undergrowth.
Four crews were called to land next to Querns Road, Canterbury to battle the flames which broke out shortly after midday.
Crews used a main jet, a hose reel, beaters and water from a hydrant to extinguish the main fire.
They are now damping down and turning over the scene, checking for remaining pockets of fire and hotspots.
There are no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
