Firefighters have freed an injured woman from the wreckage of a car following a crash with a lorry on the A2 at Boughton this afternoon.
It happened at around 3.30pm and led to one lane of the coast-bound carriageway being closed while emergency services were at the scene.
The roof of of the car was cut off to free the woman, who was removed from the vehicle on a spinal board.
She was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. Her condition is not known.
Traffic queued back past junction 7 of the M2 for Faversham.
