Flytippers have callously dumped dozens of tyres at beauty spots in an idyllic village outside Canterbury.
Photos show a mound spilling into a public road in Barham - seemingly tipped off the back of a passing vehicle.
A passerby who took the pictures claims she spotted tyres dumped at four different locations in the picturesque village.
Some were by the roadside, while others had been apparently hurled into woodland and dumped at the entrance to a field.
Anne-Marie Plews, who took to Facebook to highlight the crime said: “Hopefully we will not get any more and noone else has had to put up with it.
“Residents have had to get them out of the roads as they just push them off whatever they drive.”
Her photos prompted anger on the Canterbury Residents Group forum where they were posted.
Kim White wrote: “Awful sight. The law needs to make countryside dumping a very serious offence, ie £100 per tyre in fines.”
Reneecharles Porter commented: “If only more was done to recycle old tyres, there would be a market for them and we wouldn’t have to put up with this.”
It is thought the tyres were dumped in Brickfield Road at some point last week.
The land is thought to be owned by the parish council.
Some tyres were also strewn piled at the entrance to a recreation ground area.
