Steve Tiley, the former Canterbury and Royal Cinque Ports member, has booked his place in this week's Barclays Singapore Open by successfully coming through the qualifying tournament.

The 27-year-old professional from Herne Bay fired a 67 at Sentosa Golf Club's Tanjong course to secure a start in the $5m event, alongside the likes of Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els and Padraig Harrington.

Tiley has played six times on the European Challenge Tour this year, picking up around £17,000 in prize money, and has also made a number of appearances on the Asian Tour.
