A fourth person has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a man was found in a car park.

Guy Levy was discovered with serious injuries in the Castle Street multi-storey in Canterbury on Monday.

Folkestone Magistrates' Court heard yesterday the 51-year-old died during the early hours of Sunday.

Police were called to the site at about 1.45pm the following day, when Mr Levy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three men were later arrested and charged over the death.

Now, officers have confirmed a fourth suspect - a 50-year-old man from Canterbury - was arrested yesterday. He remains in custody.

Gavin Houghton, 49, of no fixed address, Sobantu Sibanda, 27, also of no fixed address, and Airidas Sakalauskas, 21, of Old Dover Road, Canterbury, all face charges of murder.

They appeared at Folkestone Magistrates' Court yesterday after the Crown Prosecution Service authorised charges against them.

None of the three entered any plea in relation to the charges.

They will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday (April 17).

During the short hearing, no other details about how Mr Levy died were revealed.

However, the court heard the victim may have laid undiscovered for more than a day.

On Tuesday, police and forensic teams in white suits were at the scene with parts of the car park cordoned off.

Much of the investigation focused along part of Gas Street, next to the Canterbury Castle ruins, where teams were carrying out inquiries.

Michaela Neal, 25 who lives in the building above the car park, said: "I had no idea. My heart goes out to his family but I'm not surprised that something like this has happened here.

"It's just a part of living in Canterbury, especially because we live so close to Dane John."

Neighbour Ahmed Yjwaje, 23, added: "I'm surprised that this would happen here in the car park and it worries me because I walk home that way late from work sometimes."
