A man was robbed of his cash when a gang of between 10 and 15 people approached him and his friends in a park.
The incident happened in Dane John Gardens in Canterbury and two of his friends were also attacked.
The victim was with three friends in the park at about 10.45pm on New Year's Eve when they were approached by the large group.
One of the group made threats to harm him and demanded his belongings. A quantity of cash and a bank card was stolen from the victim’s wallet.
Two of his friends were assaulted during the incident which has prompted police to appeal for witnesses.
