The Canterbury district and Faversham are a photographer’s paradise, offering jaw-dropping cityscapes, miles of spectacular coastline and charming town streets bustling with people.
Evidence of this can be seen each week through the readers’ pictures which brighten up the pages of our papers.
And now we’ve teamed up with The Canterbury Camera Centre to reward the best, with a £400 travel camera up for grabs for the top photo of 2018.
Every week we want to see the best images taken locally, and of any genre, including landscapes, wildlife, people, places and events.
We are looking for the images that capture the character of Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable or Faversham.
The best photo of the month will win an A4 canvas print of their winning effort, while the favourite of 2018 - chosen in a public vote - will scoop a fantastic Panasonic Lumix TZ90, which is considered one of the best compact travel cameras.
It boasts a huge 24-720mm lens, 20.3MP sensor, 4K video capability and a flip out three-inch screen which is great for those all-important selfies.
Together with a memory card and case, it is a package worth £400, courtesy of The Canterbury Camera Centre, which is in the St George’s Centre opposite Waitrose.
Its boss, Yan Cowley, said: "We are delighted to support the readers’ pictures competition and hope it will encourage lots of terrific photographs."
To enter: email your pictures to showcase@thekmgroup.co.uk and include your full name, address, telephone number and a brief description of where the photograph was taken.
