Teenage skier Giulia Harte will represent Great Britain in Italy this weekend.

The Canterbury youngster will travel with the GB squad to Panarotta-Levico, Trento, for the competition where she will take part in the slalom on Friday and the giant slalom on Saturday.

The 14-year-old’s older sister, Natalia, took part in the competition at the same venue in 2007.

Giulia, who also competes in athletics for Invicta East Kent AC, suffered disappointment last time out for the GB team at the end of January when she failed to complete her second run in the slalom at Ricky, Czech Republic.

However, she finished 21st of 41 finishers in the giant slalom the following day and was second of four British girls to take part.
