Accidents and roadworks have been causing traffic queues on three separate major roads in Kent this morning.
The M2 coastbound was earlier shut after a crash between J6 for Faversham and J7 for the Thanet Way at 5.50am.
It comes after a Corsa and a Ford Focus were in an accident on the coast-bound carriageway, which left both facing the wrong direction.
This carriageway has now reopened, but there are still delays of around 40 minutes.
There was a lot of debris on the road, but everyone - including five adults in one car - managed to get out unharmed.
Two lanes were also closed in the opposite direction but have now reopened. There are still delays of around 10 minutes on this carriageway.
Queues have also built up on the A2, between Sittingbourne and the Brenley Corner turn-off, as traffic tries to avoid the M2.
But the situation was made worse when fire crews had to deal with a second crash on the London-bound carriageway between J6 and J7, which led to the M2 being closed for a while from J6. It was soon reopened.
Meanwhile, in Dartford, delays are still significant at the crossing after work at the M25 Dartford Tunnel overran.
All lanes have now reopened between J1A for Erith and Swanscome and J31 for Thurrock, but queues are still stretching back to the Darenth Interchange at J2.
Journeys are taking over an hour and a half longer.
In a third incident, the A229 at Blue Bell Hill has been shut south-bound after a four-vehicle pile-up between J3 of the M2 and Chatham Road.
It is causing tailbacks in both directions on the M2.
