Detectives from British Transport Police have released images of a man they wish to speak to after five thefts in 11 days at Canterbury West station.
At least four bikes, locks and a pump were taken from racks outside the city's railway station between Thursday, May 30, and Monday, June 10.
BTP officers have released a series of CCTV images of a man they want to question in connection with the incidents.
On May 30, a silver and grey Ridgeback Flight 03 bicycle worth £200 was taken between 6.30am and 7.45pm.
Two days later, a man left his bicycle at the station at 6.30pm, only to return at 10.30am the next morning to find the lock had been cut and the pump worth £95 stolen.
On the same day (June 1) a black mountain bike and lock was taken from the station at 9.35pm, worth a combined £150.
On Monday, June 3, a black and white Dawes Giro road racing bike was taken at about 9pm, along with a lock, again worth £150.
Finally, on Monday, June 10, a blue and white striped cannon mountain bike was reported stolen from the racks just after 9pm.
Also taken was a rear mudguard, light fitting and grey pipe insulation wrapped around the bike frame at a total cost of £1,020.
DS Leigh Marshall said: “I'd ask anyone who recognises the man pictured, or who knows his whereabouts, to get in touch.
“Details of the incidents have been circulated on police intelligence systems and now we're calling on the public to help us identify this man.
“It's a sad fact that bicycles are a popular target for thieves but there are lots of things people can do to make sure their property is adequately marked and secured, which reduces the risk of becoming a victim of bike theft."
