People now have their chance to have their say on the proposed community football hub at Ridlands Farm in Canterbury.

Public consultation is under way after the city council announced that the farm was its preferred site.

The consultation is aiming to find out the views of residents across the district about what is being proposed and what the hub could potentially offer in addition to football facilities.

Residents who live near Ridlands Farm are being sent information through the post, but people further afield can have their say by completing an online survey at www.canterbury.gov.uk/footballhub

To be sent a survey in the post, call 01227 862527. The deadline for comments is Friday, September 19.

The results will be assessed by the council executive when it makes it decision later this year.

The planning consultation will take place next year.
