Canterbury: Firefighters tackle house blaze

Crews are tackling a house fire in Canterbury after a blaze broke out in the kitchen.

Two fire engines raced to Cherry Garden Road at around 1.20pm.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus are using a hose reel, a main jet and a pressure ventilation fan to tackle the fire.

Everyone in the house has been evacuated and no injuries are reported.

Police were also called to assist fire crews.
