Canterbury house targeted in bizarre toilet roll prank

This is the bizarre sight met by neighbours living in a Canterbury close when they woke.

The house on the corner of Brockenhurst Close and Salisbury Road, believed to be a student property, was draped with metres of toilet roll.

According to Cllr Terry Westgate, who represents the St Stephen’s ward on Canterbury City Council, nobody knows how it got there.

He took the pictures and condemned the behaviour of those behind the prank.

“I spoke to the adjoining house and they didn’t know what had happened,” he said.

“It doesn’t do a lot for the community. We want to keep the area looking nice. This just looks a mess.”

Cllr Westgate said it created litter and went against the hard work of those involved in litter picks and clean-ups in the area.

He added: “I’m going to check to see if it’s been cleaned up and if it hasn’t I’ll have to report it to the council.”
