A man is wanted by police after a train conductor was headbutted.

Police investigating the incident - which happened on a London to Dover train - have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.

The assault happened on the evening of Thursday, November 26 after the man responsible boarded the train at Bekesbourne.

He headbutted the conductor as it arrived at Dover Priory station, cutting the victim’s lip.

"During the journey, the man became aggressive and, as the train arrived at Dover Priory, he headbutted the conductor, cutting the victim’s lip before leaving the station."

British Transport Police officers have now released an image of a man who they believe has information about the attack.

Since the incident, officers have distributed CCTV stills on intelligence networks but have been unable to trace the man involved.

PC Twyman added: "Members of staff have a right to carry out their work without fear of violence. "The man in the image is someone who I think can assist with our investigation into this incident. Please tell us who he is."
