A HUSBAND appeared in court today charged with attempting to murder his wife following an incident at the weekend.

David Hutton, 42, of Penny Pot Lane, Waltham, near Canterbury, was arrested after his estranged wife, Karen, was allegedly stabbed at their home on Saturday night.

He appeared at Canterbury Magistrates' Court and was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on November 11. No application was made for bail.
