It's only been a few months since the nation was put on lockdown.
But these pictures of deserted Canterbury streets at the height of the coronavirus pandemic already seem so strange.
In one, a lone shopper peers through the window of a closed store in Mercery Lane.
Another shows the government's "stay home, stay safe" message beaming out from a road sign - but with no-one driving past to see it.
The captivating photographs are part of a collection being published by freelance photographer Jo Court.
Her booklet, Canterbury Through the Lockdown, is going on sale later this week.
About two years ago, the 50-year-old mother-of-five left her job at a local school and took up photography full time.
After a few of weeks of lockdown Jo, who lives in Wincheap, had ventured out to take some pictures of the early light on the Cathedral.
"Having been initially so shocked by the lockdown images which had emerged from Italy, it occurred to me that morning that the 'armageddon' had truly arrived here," she said.
"This was a unique moment in history and a story worthy of being documented."
*Jo's work will be on show and available to buy at an exhibition at Chartham Vineyard every Saturday this month. Her portfolios can be found here . Email jocourtphotography@gmail.com.
