He says: "As everyone knows what happened to me on Thursday. I have been punched in my face, I have my jaw broken in two places and I had the surgery today to fix it.
"I would like to say thank you for all the messages and all the support and I hope to be back home today."
Mr Zanlorenze, 38, is now recovering back at home following the surgery.
He said: "The hospital doctors and nurses were very good to me and I would like to thank them too.

"It was a very frightening experience, especially for my wife and boys to see me unconscious on the ground.
"I'm feeling pretty sore and uncomfortable and can only have fluids through a straw. I cannot work for a while too, which is very hard financially."
His post on the Canterbury Residents Group Facebook page prompted an outpouring of sympathy and sparked a heated debate with many complaining of the grief they are suffering from noisy student parties and activities.
Police spokesman Sally Smith said: "We are investigating a report that a man was assaulted in Miller Avenue, Canterbury, at approximately 10.40am on Thursday, October 27.
"A 21-year-old man from Faversham has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed until December 17 pending further inquiries."
