Hancock's unusual vehicle.

Is it a boat? Is it a car? Is
it bicycle? No – it’s Cabioat Kerb!

This bizarre vehicle is the
brainchild of a 41-year-old from Thanington. When Scott Hancock
couldn’t find a little runaround for a decent price, he came up
with a radical solution and decided to build his own: Part boat,
part car and part bike.

The 41-year-old, who runs an
inflatable hire business, contacted the Kentish Gazette after
seeing an appeal for stories on unusual vehicles with an
article on a 1976 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 1 taken to a city
garage.

Mr Hancock said: “My father offered
to buy me a car for which I had a fixed budget, but I simply
couldn’t find anything I liked.

“So I thought I’d make one. But
it’s not just made from a car, boat and motorbike, it’s got lots of
other things in it.”

These include parts of old washing
machines, trampoline, poles, pots, pans and bed frames.

Scott lives in Windsor Road with
his partner Claire Johnson and their children Charlie, 13, Shane,
14, and Mason, 15. He and his father-in-law Derek Johnson built the
vehicle which is called the Cabioat Kerb, an anagram of car, boat
and bike.

Scott added: “Unfortunately, it’s
not road legal as there a few things I still need to do to it.

“But I’ve taken it down to Lydden
Racetrack and it goes fine.

“It’s got a 1600 injection engine
in it and would probably go a lot faster than the 50 or 60mph I’ve
got out of, but I dare not try as it might just go up and flip
over.

“I’d love to get it on the road so
if anyone fancies that, I’d love to hear from them.

“And, no, it doesn’t float.”
