Jazz legend Tracey at city venue

JAZZ legend Stan Tracey returns to Canterbury on Thursday July 24) to kick off Orange Street Music Venue’s second Summer of Jazz festival.

Now in his 83rd year the “Godfather of British Jazz” remains as captivating as ever and this time his trio will unleash their magic in the Gulbenkian Theatre.

For six decades Tracey has combined prolific work-rate (40 albums) with wicked improvisation.

It is the first in a series of acts running until August 8, inlcuding the David Rees-Williams Trio, The Quartet, and Australian saxophonist Matt Miles.

The Stan Tracey Trio starts at 7.45pm.
