There could be a double celebration for the Kent MS Therapy Centre following the opening of its new £1.3 million building in Canterbury this week.
Because the charity is also in the running to win a £36,000 Mercedes 17-seater minibus and currently lying a close second.
Now it is appealing to people to go on-line and vote for them by midnight tonight when the contest closes.
The prize would be the icing on the the cake for the charity following the opening of its new centre in Merton Lane on Monday.
The vehicle is being offered by the Axis Foundation and with just hours to go only the MS Therapy Centre and the Bromley by Bow Community Organisation are in the final running to win.
This morning KMSTC had 48% and BBCO 50% so the Canterbury-based charity is appealing for a final push to get them across the winning line.
Voting is very easy and requires no personal information being given. Simply visit www.axisfoundation.org/minibus and scroll down the page to the blue box. A click on the one beside the Kent MS Therapy Centre and it's done.
Only one vote can be cast from any single computer but it is possible to vote again using your smart phone or tablet.
Fundraising manager Helen Wathen said: “Many people with MS are isolated by the disease and unable to access the centre.
“Our next goal is to provide transport and we are delighted to have been shortlisted by the Axis Foundation to win a brand new minibus.
“We are urging everyone to support us and visit the website to vote. It only takes a simple click. To win the minibus really would be the icing on the cake.”
