A dog and its owner were dramatically pulled from a fast-flowing weir on Sunday evening.
Firefighters were called to the River Stour in St Radigunds Street, Canterbury at around 6.20pm after calls that a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and its owner were in the water. It is not known how they happened to be in the water.
Fire crews wearing dry suits, used water safety equipment to rescue the man, then the dog.
It is the second time over the weekend that firefighters have been involved in an incident involving a dog rescue. They were called to free a King Charles spaniel that had become stuck in railings.
