Kent's newest hotel is continuing to take shape and remains on course to open next year despite lockdown.
Construction at Slatters Hotel, in Canterbury, has continued throughout, with workers revising their strategies to ensure the build can progress.
After the structure of all six storeys was completed last week, work has now begun on creating the 130 bedrooms.
The multi-million pound hotel, which will boast a rooftop restaurant with views across to the Cathedral, will be run by global chain Hampton by Hilton.
Zaw Htut, co-director at Slatters Developments Ltd, is pleased with how progress is going and has revealed between 80 and 100 jobs will be created it is once up-and-running.
"In this climate, I'd much rather be building a hotel than running one. Covid-19 has been very tough on the market," he said.
"The hotel industry may not be quite what it was before, but it'll slowly grow.
"Come mid-2021, hopefully it'll be getting back on track and we can be a success.
"I visited last week and it's all looking good. They're now moving inside and erecting internal walls and ventilation and electrical systems.
"Obviously, like all construction projects, we've had a slight delay but the good thing is, we've managed to continue operations.
Elsewhere in Suffolk, a plan to build a hotel collapsed this week after the hotel chain withdrew due to the financial impact of Covid-19.
Updated CGIs showing how the completed hotel will look in St Margaret's Streets have also been released.
Earlier this year, critics suggested the venue will become Canterbury's "white elephant" but hotel bosses believe its opening will be a welcome boost to the city's economy.
New retail units will also operate from the hotel's ground floor.
