A road was completely blocked after a level crossing failure.

Drivers faced delays following the incident on the A290 St Dunstans Street in Canterbury between Station Road West and Roper Road.

The issue emerged shortly after 7.30am and Network Rail engineers were sent to scene to solve the problem.

Police officers also attended.
