A lorry came off the road and ended up in some trees causing delays for rush hour traffic.

One lane was closed for several hours on Thursday morning after it is thought fuel spilled onto the A2 London bound carriageway at the junction for Bridge.

The lane was shut between the exit and entry slip roads to allow the lorry to be recovered from the trees.

Drivers were warned to expect delays.
