Police close section of A28 Pin Hill after lorry crash near Canterbury city wall

A section of a busy city centre ring road has been closed after a lorry crashed into some metal railings.

The outside lanes on both sides of Pin Hill, near Canterbury East railway station, were closed following the collision with the central reservation this evening.

Emergency services were called to the A28 shortly before 4.18pm today after the lorry struck the barrier.

A police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene where a car had also been struck by debris from the collision.
