A lorry driver has died in a crash in Aylesham.

The HGV hit a tree and overturned on the B2046 Adisham Road just after 9am yesterday.

Police have since confirmed a Polish man in his 40s died at the scene.

The road was closed for several hours while an investigation was carried out and the carriageway repaired.

It reopened just before 7pm yesterday, but has been closed again today to allow the remainder of the debris to be cleared and recovery work completed.
