A major route past Canterbury is blocked following a crash involving a lorry and two cars.

Kent Police sealed off the London-bound carriageway near Bridge and Kent firefighters are still at the scene.

It is reported police have been able to open one lane to filter traffic through.

The incident is causing traffic to back up in the direction of Barham.

According to Kent Police, a Volkswagen Polo and Nissan Mote were involved. The driver of the VW has been taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Nissan suffered whiplash.
