It was shut from Brenley Corner to the A28 Ashford Road at midday following an incident in which a man died at a caravan site at Dunkirk.
Officers swooped on the Brotherhood Wood site behind Gate Services last night after reports that a man in his 20s had died after suffering a serious chest injury.
A police spokesman said: "The closure was enforced as part of an ongoing Kent Police investigation following a suspected murder in Gate Hill, Dunkirk, on the evening of Sunday, April 7, 2019."
