A 32-year-old male nurse accused of rape is due to appear before a crown court judge early next month.

John Mendy has been charged with rape and serious sexual assault. He lives at Sandwich Road, Ramsgate.

The offences are alleged to have been committed in Canterbury last week.

Mendy has appeared before Dover magistrates and is now due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, December 3.
