Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
However, officers are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.
A large emergency response - including firearms officers - had been sent to the scene yesterday, with the ring-road shut off and police and ambulance vehicles lining Lower Bridge Street.
Forensics officers were also seen going in and out of the shop.
This morning, tarpaulin sheets covered the front of the tattoo parlour, while a patrol car sat outside.
Cones had also been used to reduce a small section of Lower Bridge Street to a single lane.
Two tattoo artists from GothInk shared a message on Instagram warning customers not to arrive for appointments.
It read: "All clients with appointments over the next few days. Please do not come to the shop. All appointments are postponed."
