A man was taken to hospital with a bleed on the brain and a broken jaw after being attacked in a taxi rank.

Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to following the serious assault outside Canterbury West railway station.

The victim was attacked by another man in the queue at the station's taxi rank.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to a broken jaw, bleed on the brain and a large cut on his forehead.

The incident happened shortly before 12.30am on Sunday.

Transport police officers believe the man in the images may have information which could help their investigation.
