Police have released a CCTV image of a duo after a man was discovered with serious facial injuries.
He was found in Gravel Walk, Canterbury, at about 11pm on Sunday July 14 prompting a police investigation.
The man was taken to hospital, from where he has since been discharged.
Further enquiries have established a fight took place in the High Street, near the junction with Guildhall Street, between 10pm and 11pm that evening.
As part of the ongoing investigation, officers have released a CCTV image of two men who may be able to assist them.
PC Victoria Minter said: “We appreciate the image is not of the best quality, but we hope it might jog someone's memory.
“As well as the two men pictured, we believe that two people, described as a man and woman in their 40s, may have witnessed the incident and have yet to come forward.”
Anyone with information, or who recognises the two men pictured, is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/117218/24.
