Man due in court on murder charge

A 20-year-old man is due before Sittingbourne Magistrates this morning charged with the murder of a Faversham teenager.

Rickie Mount, of Edward Vinson Drive in the town, was charged last night.

He was arrested after 19-year-old Adam Harry Beaney died after an incident in the town's Recreation Ground in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A 20-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.

Two other women, aged 42 and 59, have been bailed until tomorrow after they were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
