A pedestrian was grabbed and threatened before two men stole his bank card and driving licence.
The victim was walking along Longport in Canterbury at about 3.40pm on Friday when the robbers ushered him over to their vehicle in a friendly manner.
One of the offenders then seized the man’s arm before threatening him and asking him to hand over his bag.
The pair drove off with the sack, which contained the bank card and driving licence.
A police spokesman said: "Both offenders are described as black with the driver described as around 25-years old. He was wearing a black Moose Knuckles coat.
"The passenger is believed to be around 19, of slim build and wearing a balaclava and a navy jumper."
The robbers were inside a black car.
Officers are urging anyone with information to call them on 01843 222289, quoting the reference number 46/54085/21.
