KENT Police have launched an investigation after a 52-year-old woman suffered stab wounds.

Paramedics and police officers were called to a house in Military Road, Canterbury, shortly before 7pm on Thuresday.

The victim was taken to the QEQM Hospital at Margate where her condition was said not to be life-threatening.

A 61-year-old man was taken into custody and was being questioned by police.
