Man in hospital after Sturry Road collision

A man is recovering in hospital after he was hit by a car in Sturry Road last night.

Police said the man was on foot at 10.10pm when he was hit by the car and is now in a stable condition at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

The driver, a 28-year-old man from Dover, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

He has been released on bail until Monday, September 24.
