Police are hunting three men who made threats to a man as he walked with a woman and child in Canterbury.
The suspects drove up to the group as they walked towards shops in Wincheap, before threatening the man and driving away.
Shortly after, the victim, aged in his 20s, was again approached and threatened by suspects in the same car.
He went to a nearby shop to raise the alarm.
The incidents happened at around 6pm on Thursday, September 14, but details have only just emerged as police issue descriptions of the suspects.
One was white, 5ft 8, with brown hair, a baseball cap and a strip of facial hair on his chin.
The second had tanned skin and was wearing a grey and black tracksuit.
The third man had a darker complexion than the second man, with a slimmer face and was wearing black tracksuit bottoms.
